The Coeymans Dive Team was formed in 1986 originally called the Five Chiefs
Search And Recovery Dive Team. Over the years training and response methods have
evolved and although we have members from four different fire departments, we are now
known as the Coeymans Dive Team.
Currently the team has more than 15 certified divers and 20 surface personnel.
We respond to water emergencies in the Town Of Coeymans, Town Of New Baltimore
and have been called as far away as Albany to assist the Albany Fire Department. The
Team is equipped to respond to boating accidents, drowning accidents, ice rescues and
recently swift water rescue training was obtained.
We always welcome new members whether they are divers, surface support, or
